Left behind

When Egyptian art was taken away from its original context and purpose, their spirit was left behind. 

I cover the pieces featured in the mythologie reader to try and contain their history. By covering the objects ever so slightly, I still give a peep inside, a hint of its beauty.

The new creations are placed around the world again, scarred and left behind. They are alien to their environment, slowly traveling back to their original resting place. Temporarily encased and protected under a new layer of their identity, hidden away until they reach home, until they get returned to Egypt.
